Is it a good idea to change my business status from for-profit to non-profit when doing business with the gov.?

World Public Restrooms, LLC is currently operating as a for-profit organization. It is a start-up in operation. However, I plan to submit an unsolicited proposal to several DOT gov agencies seeking their one time financial support. All earned revenue will be re-invested in the expansion of the business.
