Does the memory of 9/11 give you confidence in our (U.S.) government?

I feel confident now that we've elected a president by a good voter margin. September 11, 2001 did happen and unfortunately we'll always live with that fact. I didn't like the date of January 20, 2001 when we had to accept what the Supreme court dealt us, the (Gore v Bush) decision.
