Hydrogen ion concentration of a .500M aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid?

what is the hydrogen ion concentration of a .500M aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid? This is a question on my practice test for finals, and I can't seem to figure it out. Can someone work the problem out for me, because I already know the answer (.500M). Thank you.
