Does Clindoxyl Gel work?

i went to see a doctor for my acne ( moderate acne ). he prescribed me this : Clindoxyl Gel, Clindamycin Phosphate and Benzoyl Peroxide. I used it fr probably 3 weeks and a half. i stoopped using it. it made my skin extremely dry, it irratated my skin and stinged a little. but it DID stop my acne from coming, but didn't clear the acne i already had. so i was wondering if i should continue using thidsporduct, maybe if i continued using it longer it would clear the acne i already have?
